Radically Soft is a collective that strives to prioritise marginalised bodies and hold space for fat bodies to find community, liberation and support.
We are Sydney’s first ever plus sized market for preloved & new clothes. We aim to build a community around fashion and centres fat liberation, self and community empowerment.
Radically Soft was born out of frustration for lack of access to plus size clothing in person (without having to shop online) and being criticised by the ethical fashion communities for participating in fast fashion when the ethical fashion market can often not be size inclusive and a high cost.
Being able to hold these markets for our community is our way of encouraging circular fashion and doing our best with what we've got, to do our bit for the planet!
Our vision for this collective is to continue to hold regular plus size markets, clothing swaps and social events for the fat babe calendar. Our social events will consist of fat babe speed friending, parties, life drawing, hiking, pottery and more.
Alongside this, we'd love to host workshops on fat liberation and joy, fat babe runways, dance classes and eventually even a recycled boutique for plus size clothing!
